Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – When Moving Home

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – When Moving Home

What time can I expect the removal team to arrive?

We always aim to be at your first premises by 9am unless you have requested otherwise. We will ensure to leave with plenty of time to allow for traffic. However, on the occasion that traffic is worse than expected we will ring ahead to let you know our estimated time of arrival.

How much parking space is required for the removal vehicle?

Our vans require 2 regular sized parking space to allow enough space to load and unload at either end.

How do I arrange parking?

You will need to contact the local council for your borough. You can arrange parking dispensation for yellow lines or organise a parking suspension for parking bays. For a red line dispensation, you must contact Transport for London. Otherwise, if there is no restrictions, simply park yours or neighbours car outside your premises to reserve a space for when the van arrives.

Can you disconnect my white good appliances?

Unfortunately, we are not insured or qualified to disconnect white good appliances, such as washing machines, dishwashers or fridges. It is advisable to book a qualified tradesman in advance of moving day to disconnect these for you.

Can you dismantle and reassemble large items?

Yes, all of our removal team are competent handymen and always carry a set of tools and drill. Please let us know when we visit you for a site visit during the quoting period which items need dismantling and reassembling. It would be our pleasure to make this as easy and hands free for you as possible. For your peace of mind, we carry labelled zipped bags to store the furniture fixings e.g. screws, all together to ensure no parts are lost when moving.
